"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely incredible dining experience in La Jolla! From the moment I walked in, everything about this restaurant exceeded expectations. I arrived about 30 minutes before my reservation, and they didn’t hesitate to seat me early. The staff immediately made me feel welcome, offering friendly conversation and even bringing out a few appetizers while I waited for my other half to arrive. We brought our dog, and the team had no problem accommodating us — a huge plus. Our server, Blake, was absolutely outstanding. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth, checked in just the right amount, and made excellent recommendations throughout the night. I tried three different wines and was impressed with every single one. The Margherita pizza was perfect — you could taste the quality of the ingredients and the oven-baked finish. The seared octopus appetizer was tender and flavorful, not chewy at all — truly one of the best I’ve had. I finished with the fusilloni pasta, which was rich, comforting, and beautifully presented. The ambiance was top-tier — the temperature was perfect, the lighting just right for a cozy and intimate dinner, and the overall atmosphere had that effortless elegance that makes you want to linger a bit longer. Between the food, service, and atmosphere, this place hit every mark. Blake and the entire team made the night special from start to finish. Without a doubt, one of the best Italian dining experiences I’ve ever had in La Jolla. Can’t wait to come back!"
"I booked the covered back patio for my intimate wedding reception and I was so incredibly impressed by the service! My guests were truly blown away by the food and how nice the staff was! Roberta was such an easy person to work with and really went above and beyond to make sure my day was special! My favorite compliment I received all day was from my father who praised my reception location choice by telling me I had "incredible taste". 10/10 If you're considering booking this space for any event - DO IT!"
"The mood was set with a guitar player out on the spacious patio during our dinner. We brought our Yorkie, Karma, and she got to choose meatballs or chicken with rice or broccoli from the dog menu. Dining there was a culinary highlight of our trip to San Diego. The entire experience was delightful. Karma gave the meatballs four paws up."
"Neat spot and great find due to a rehearsal dinner invite. Food was served family style and pre-selected by our hosts. They made delicious choices coupled with the friendly service made for a special night and prelude to the memorable weekend."
"Absolutely beautiful! Food aesthetic and everything was spot on. Husband found this place through some ad on Instagram and wanted to go here because they had the squid ink pasta. He really wanted a pastor and the rest of the menu seemed really nice as well so we came here for our anniversary dinner. Definitely had a very hard time picking something on the menu because everything looks so good but I was also trying to eat healthy so got the Fall Salad (along with the pasta). It was an arugula base with roasted butternut squash, dried cranberries, apple, caramelized pecans and goat cheese. Added some chicken on top and overall this salad was phenomenal! Chicken was cooked perfectly and everything else on the salad was also beautiful together. The goat cheese was fresh. Pecans were yummy and the butternut squash was also delicious. And so so so well together. We did not even need one drop of that salad dressing. The squid ink pasta itself was absolutely lovely. Pasta was so fresh and cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce was yummy and there was so much of seafood on there. It was actually a very good meal for the price point. No regrets here at all. All the seafood was also cooked perfectly well and I was very skeptical about a seafood pasta but this was delicious. Got the Tiramisu for dessert and it was yummy! I was a little hesitant about this because I've had experiences with tiramisu not being as nice, but this was perfectly spot on. The mascarpone was soft and creamy and yummy and This was just another dessert overall. Aesthetic was very beautiful and they had heaters everywhere so the experience was very comfortable."
"I was so happy to discover a truly authentic Italian restaurant run entirely by Italians. The food brought me right back to Italy — the Diavola pizza with spicy salami was delicious, and the gnocchi with pesto were incredibly soft and delicate. To my delight, they even had my favorite Hugo Spritz, which isn’t easy to find everywhere. Our waiter Giuseppe gave us plenty of attention, and I even got the chance to practice my long-forgotten Italian with him. I highly recommend this place — if we’re ever back in San Diego, we’ll definitely be returning!"
"Had a previous reservation fall through for a work dinner and contacted Piazza because I had been here previously and we had an excellent experience - contacted them the day of to ask if they could accommodate a dinner for 28 people. Roberta and her team went above and beyond for us! An exceptional meal and top notch service. Can not recommend enough. Lovely owners, lovely staff all around great ambience. We will surely be back"
"It was a Tuesday that we came and dined in at another pet friendly restaurant. We came early dinner as well around 4:30pm so it was still Happy Hour Time till 6pm. Their HH menu was pretty good. I love the clams dish so we ended up ordering 2 of those. We sat outdoors at the cozy patio plus heaters so wasn’t too cold. Staffs were very nice, very attentive. We love the restaurant Xmas decorations. Very spacious, it was front and back seatings. There was a private section with bar in the back for business event, birthday, ect…. Free parking long the streets. It’s can be difficult if you come at a later time. We came early so we didn’t have any problem finding a parking spot."
